THE SITUATION

How KAIA-OR helps

Several governments publish travel advice, each for its own travellers, each revised on its own schedule. The advice describes a whole country, while a trip happens at a hotel, a venue and the streets around them. People responsible for travellers want them informed.

01

Choose whose advice you read

The United Kingdom by default, Canada (in either of its official languages), or the United States.

02

See what changed

Each new revision shows the previous and new publication dates and the fields that changed.

03

Check the area on arrival

Around me shows the published official events around you, only after you start it.

Your position is cleared when you stop.

What you see in KAIA-OR

01

Advice as published

Advisory labels, the publisher's update and check times, scope notes and a link to the complete official advice.

02

Watch for revisions

With your permission, KAIA-OR watches the advice you follow and alerts you to each new revision.

03

Advice for any destination

Official travel advice for destinations worldwide, with the same publisher choice, update times and change history.

04

Travel places

Save the destination area as a travel place. It ends when your travel period does, within 30 days at most, and it is checked against official events like any other saved place.

05

Check before you click

Booking changes and payment requests are common scam themes. Paste the message or the link before acting on it.

EXAMPLE

An example, step by step, with the product's own labels.

01

A project lead based in Toronto is preparing meetings in İzmir. In Travel outlook, they choose Türkiye, select Canada as the publisher, and read the advice in its original language.

02

They read the advisory text and Publisher updated, then open Read the complete official advice.

03

They start Publisher update watch while finalizing the itinerary.

04

On arrival, they start Around me, review the published events around them, and select Stop and clear position.

05

When a message asks them to confirm the booking with a fee paid through a link, they paste the link into the link check, which points out, for example, a destination that is an IP address rather than a domain name.

PRIVACY

How KAIA-OR handles your information

01

KAIA-OR checks only the text or the link you choose to paste.

02

Saved-place coordinates stay on your device, encrypted with a passphrase that you set and that stays on your device.

03

Around me uses your position only after you start it, keeps it on your device, and clears it when you stop.

04

Messages and links you check stay in memory on your device and are cleared when you close the check.

05

Device notifications are discreet by design and leave out the place and the event.

06

Every person's messages, devices, location and saved places stay their own, in every family and organization they belong to.
