THE SITUATION

How KAIA-OR helps

Scam messages arrive through messaging apps, e-mail and text. They borrow the name of a delivery company, a financial institution, a colleague or a relative, and they ask for something quickly: sign-in details, money or a click. The moment to check is before acting, with the link unopened.

01

Message check

Paste up to 16,000 characters and say where the message arrived: a messaging app, e-mail or other.

02

Link check

Paste one link, up to 4,096 characters. KAIA-OR reads the address without opening it.

03

Clear next steps

Results are labelled REVIEW REQUIRED or ASSESSMENT LIMITED and suggest actions such as verifying the sender through a channel you already know.

What you see in KAIA-OR

01

What the message check looks for

Requests for sign-in details, demands for money, the link addresses in the text, and combinations of warning signs. It recognizes these in all four interface languages.

02

What the link check looks for

A link without HTTPS, an IP address in place of a domain name, credentials in the address that can hide the real destination, and a nonstandard web port.

03

What happens to what you paste

The text you paste stays in memory on your device and is cleared when you close the check. A link's path stays on your device.

EXAMPLE

An example, step by step, with the product's own labels.

01

An organization member receives an e-mail, apparently from finance, asking them to approve a supplier's new bank details by the end of the day.

02

They open Optional message and link review, set Where you received it to Email, paste the text and select Inspect locally.

03

When the text pushes for money and contains a link, the result lists the demand for money and the link address under Why this needs attention.

04

They paste the link into Link to inspect. When a link has no HTTPS or points to an IP address, the result says so.

05

They call the finance contact on a known number before doing anything else, then select Clear message and results.
